Watergate Medical Imaging Centre provides digital diagnostic X-rays inside Watergate Medical Centre at 07 Watergate Boulevard, Watergate, Mitchell’s Plain, 7785. We serve patients from Watergate, Philippi, Delft, Mandalay and nearby Cape Flats communities.

A referral may be required, depending on the X-ray examination requested. Please contact Watergate Medical Imaging Centre before your visit for booking guidance and referral requirements. Bring your referral and relevant medical documents where applicable.

We assist eligible medical-aid patients and also welcome private-pay patients. Please confirm your available benefits, co-payments and any pre-authorisation requirements with your medical aid before your X-ray appointment.

Yes. Watergate Medical Imaging Centre provides clinically required X-ray examinations for babies, children and young children when appropriately referred. Our team aims to make the process calm, clear and supportive for children and their families.

Yes. Our imaging areas support wheelchair access and patients with mobility, communication or other support needs. Please tell the imaging reception about any assistance you may need before your appointment.

Yes. We provide X-ray imaging for occupational health, workplace and pre-employment medical requirements where requested through the relevant practitioner or employer process. Contact the imaging reception to confirm the documents needed.

Watergate Medical Imaging Centre provides chest X-rays requested for immigration, emigration, visa, passport, seafarer, cabin crew, aviation, flying and diving medical requirements. Please contact us beforehand to confirm referral and documentation requirements.

Please bring your identity document, medical-aid card or membership details if applicable, referral letter where required and any relevant previous imaging or medical documentation. Ask your medical aid about authorisation before your visit if needed.

Tell the radiographer before your examination if you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant. This allows the team to consider the appropriate precautions and guide you safely.

Watergate Medical Imaging Centre currently provides digital diagnostic X-ray services. Ultrasound, mammography and CT services are planned for a future phase and should not yet be presented as available services.
